In the three-day documenta Fifteen Tour, what impressed me most was documenta’s archive room. The archives of all previous documenta documents are kept in an orderly manner, and can even be detailed to each work as well as relevant manuscripts and correspondence. In the popularization of electronic storage technology, the archiving of printed matter is still irreplaceable. Under Professor Siebenhaar’s explanation, I learned that „Document“ has a deep connotation of bridging the past and present and bridging the cultural gap. documenta is the name given to the exhibition. After World War II, documenta undertook a mission to bridge the fault lines that continues to this day.
